Shunned by her fellow villagers, Binu faces a bleak future, until she meets Qiliang, an orphan who offers to marry her, but when Qiliang vanishes, transported hundreds of miles away and forced to labor on the building of the Great Wall of China, a determined Binu embarks on perilous journey to Great Swallow Mountain to save her husband.
